Let's have a walk

The first thing you will see coming through the gate is the main building and the Main street of the park. In that building you can ask for help and it is also a nice meeting point.

The main building

Take a look inside

Coming through the front door you'll get into the common living room. It's the best place to have a chit-chat and meeting family, friends and all the people from the other trailers.

And what do elderly people love more than cake? - Homemade cake.

Our small bakery shop serves coffee and also tea. We simply can't live without the 5 o'clock tea.

Here are some tables where you can enjoy the scones and play cards.

Some of our lovely inhabitants play the piano. You really should hear them.

Right next to the piano is a comfy lounge. That was our big shared living room. Heading to the door next to the entrance...

This is our small library. We are still collecting money and books to extend it and make it more cozy. Our inhabitants really love the silence here and enjoy watching the fishes swim by.

We have two desks to study. One is provided with a computer and thank god it is faster than most ones, our retirees get from their children.

Next to the bakery are the restrooms.

Back to the common living area a bit more to the right side, you can see a corridor leading to Ms.  Shields office.

She does everything with communication: mail, advertising if a trailer spot is free for rent, reservations for the common rooms and many other stuff.

Coming out of her office you'll notice the lift. We are proud to have all our houses accessible.

One level above...

On the 2nd floor - and this is very cool - you can see the lift coming up when you press the button. The glass doors also give our retirees a better feeling to be rescued if something happens. You know many people don't feel well in those tiny lift cars.

Above Ms. Shields office is Mrs. Windy's office. She keeps the business running. The offices are alike.

Here you stand right aside the stairs looking over the gallery above the common living room. Usually it's more quiet up here. You can spend your time with table soccer and table games. I would like to show you 3 more rooms which are very special for our community and I'm sure you will not find them in many trailer parks.

The first one is a room with massage seats. Many of our inhabitants love to do sports and afterwards they spend their time here to relax.

And for those who forget they aren't Sonja Henie or Javier Fernández López they can book a massage on the table in the 2nd room.

The 3rd room is a photo studio. We noticed many people living here come from different states and are far away from their families. Therefore we thought it would be a nice idea to send them special postcards.

On these days our retirees feel like starlets.

Back on the track

Next to the main building is the Main street of the park. Let's take a walk down the road.

To the left you see the trailers of Adam and Rose which came from the South to Brindleton Bay and the Rossi's trailer, our retirees with Italien roots.

The Southern family's trailer

Take a look inside

Heading over the terrace through the sliding door you'll get into Adam and Rose's trailer. Inspired by their origin it is a tropical themed living area with birds and flower pictures on the wall.

The kitchen offers everything you need and the kitchen island is a great place to have breakfast.

The view from the kitchen to the living room.

The pantry divides both areas very well. Have you seen Adams violin?

The sofas are very cozy for long movie nights.

Next to the lounge area there is a door to a corridor. Here is something luxurious: their own washing machine and dryer. Most retirees have to go to the washhouse. Behind the next door there's the bathroom.

Also this room is spacious and offers a double sink for him and her.

Coming to the office you'll notice Adams bowling trophies. He's very good! Rose is more into painting. And to be honest the treadmill is almost never used. They got it once from their son.

It's called the office because here is the desk with the computer.

Nevertheless Rose also reads here.

Well it's a crowdeed room on the end of the trailer.

The bedroom is in the annex. One day they were allowed to extend the trailer, as long as everything is moveable. And you are completely right, Rose takes her name very serious. I'm very relieved that there are rules for the exterior painting.

Look at the fireplace. Isn't it just lovely? Although they are old they know how important romance is.

And it seems they spend their nights with chess too.

Through the sliding door we are back on the terrace.

Here is a big table for inviting friends to bbqs.
Let's visit the Rossis now.

The Italian family's trailer

Take a look inside

This is the home of the Rossis and they are proud of their Italien descent.

When you visit them, you can feel the Mediterreanian atmosphere: Tiles on the floor, old furniture and paintings and of course the terracotta colours.

The almost empty aquarium tells their story as former owners of a well going seafood restaurant. Franky the fish is the only survivor.

Heading through the archway into the kitchen.

It doesn't need much kitchen supplies to cook delicious food. Only fresh ingredients and herbs.

And don't forget the aperitives. And wines also make a good dinner.

On the back of the trailer there is the bedroom.

It's dark on the North side. Don't mind they don't spend much time here during the days.

In Rossi's annex there is a small sunroom to do sports.

Form here you get into the bathroom and another bedroom.

The bath is very small. I'm very impressed how much furniture fits into such a small place.

This was the former girls room.

Her daughter moved out long ago and left her bed and the easel. Now it's her guest room.

In the corner next to the window, there is their computer desk. Mr Rossi enjoys to play games.

On the terrace the Rossis sometimes sing and play the guitar. It's awesome.

Overview.

The bowling alley and washhouse

Right across the street there is the washhouse and bowling alley.

Take a look inside

A large bar offers dinks and bowling shoes.

Ready to bowl?

Behind the divider are the bowling alleys.

The seating area is inspired by the 50s and 60s, the golden ages for bowling.

I'm sure you will not only meet Adam at this spot.

View backwards.

Next to the alley there are more bowling balls and a little display cabinet with trophies. Heading through the door in the background we are getting into the washhouse.

Here we are. To the left there're two toilets.

The most of the retirees will meet here to wash their clothes.

Above the bowling alley

There is a small flat for rent above the bowling alley. It is meant for friends and family who are here for a visit. It's not accessible, therefore it's not used for our retirees.  The stairs are on the backside of the building.

Take a look inside

It's a spacious living room with a computer desk. In front of the large window is a dining table.

The kitchen unit is in the back. The two doors lead to the bedroom (left) and the bathroom (right).

The bedroom is small but cozy.

Flowers in the bathroom make it a bit homey.

The community garden

Behind this building is the community garden.

A little gate separates it from the street.

The scarecrow should not bother you to get in.

Some garden utilities are waiting to be used right next to the gate.

The garden is a full community project. Look how beautiful the plants grow.

Here grow fruit trees, vegetables and herbs as well as flowers. Now you know where the Rossis get their ingredients from.

This is the complete view of the garden.

The big table is part of the project. Cause everyone helps to serve the garden there are dinner parties where the gardeners come together to dine.

Food can be prepared in the open fireplace or on the grill. There is also a communal kitchen indoors for rainy days.

From the table you can see the plants grow.

On the terrace next to the kitchen door there're smaller and separated tables.

Another view to the building: On the first floor there is the communal kitchen, which also can be rented for parties and on the 2nd floor there is a dance studio. This is the only room which is not accessible for people who have mobility problems.

Take a look inside

The community kitchen has a professional cooking station.

On the bar counter there are always some fresh flowers from the garden and some cookies from the bakery shop. But be aware: they are from yesterday!

At the end of the kitchen you'll find a sofa in front of a large tv. You wonder why? The partners of the cooks are easier to get into the kitchen if there is a large tv. So they can help and don't miss their favourite TV show.

The view back.

Behind the cooking station you find a kitchen unit with two fridges and two dishwashers. Those make it easier to host a party.

At the end of the room there are two restrooms.

One level above

The dance studio also has a dance floor on the terrace. On a small table there are served drinks for this exhausting activity.

And there are sofas to rest too.

Inside the studio there is a turntable to provide music.

In the big mirrors you can see each move you make.

And you can rest on the benches along each wall.

2nd floor

Going down the street. At the end is waiting a lama fountain.

Next to the entrance to the community kitchen there is Harvey Wallbanger's new home.

Harvey's new retreat

Harveys home seen from the lama fountain square.

Take a look inside

Heading up to the terrace. The ramp is on the opposite site of the stairs.

View from the other side. Harvey is handy so there is need for a workbench.

Welcome to his new home. A cozy lounge and a fireplace make it easy to enjoy his new living room.

The mix of wood and steel represent his love to old western movies. And if something will ever break  down he is able to fix it.

Behind the sofa there is a computer desk to stay in contact with the modern world too.

The tools above the sofa are for his personal use. Don't they put you in a gold-rush mood?

In the back you find a small industrial kitchen. The pans hanging on the window, ready to cook or fishing gold in the river.

The view from the kitchen.

The bathroom is also with lots of woodwork. Brand new but in a old style.

Behind the kitchen there is the bedroom. With a big book case and a stylish bar.

Harvey got a double bed, he told us he is looking for a nice women, so we are crossing our fingers he will find her soon.

Hopefully she will be as pleased as Harvey about a western themed home.

Harvey's yard has to match the trailer park rules so we could not do much extreme. Therefore he got a deck with the old style chairs and a grill. The chess table is also in the garden.

In the back there are the flamingos. One gnome is rinding them, only the lasso is missing.

Back on the lama square. Time to look at the gardens next to it.

Between Harvey's garden and the square there is a yoga garden surrounded by hedges and flower bushes.

On the square there are benches to look down the street.

Here you can see Harveys neighbour: The old widow Grace Bowchaser. Contrary to her name she is a very lovely person.

In front of her house and on the right side of the square there is a little park where you can throw horseshoes. That would have fit to Harveys home perfectly, but his trailer arrived after the park was built.

The old widow's trailer

Take a look inside

Grace's terrace is face to face to Harvey's.

Unfortunately she doesn't have her own garden, so this is the place where she spends her days.

Heading into her home you will notice soon she's from the North-east coast. White and blue are her colours.

Her husband, a sailor, died years ago and she doesn't have much money. So her home is small and simple but so very cozy, don't you think?

On the cabinet is still the blue violin of her husband. She plays the piano and it's like being in a fairytale when you hear her play.

Now we are in the kitchen. Very small but there is a table to dine.

The three doors lead to a small balcony, bedroom and a bath.

On the balcony there is another table for breakfast in the sun. And there is an easel, she thought she could give it a try.

The bathroom.

In the bedroom is the computerdesk and a treadmill she's not using, too many dots and not that intuitive. She's better in knitting, she say.

Since her husband left her she has a single bed but he is still at her side.

This was her cozy home.

Overview.

Between her trailer and the bowling alley is the Parklane. It leads to the main park.

In the middle of that lane is the statue of Hilda Fisher the first woman who settled on this place.

Looking back. On the left side there is the bowling alley and on the right side another trailer.

The old boxer's trailer

It's Charly Coon's trailer.

Take a look inside

When you come to Charly Coon, it looks like in the most normal menages. A nice living room with a guitar next to a fireplace...

... an open kitchen and a bedroom in the back.

Only that Charly isn't happy anymore. He was a famous boxer and when he got old this fame faded away. I think he drinks too much now, look at all the bottles.

A very normal bathroom.

Here you can see his old punchbag and spiderwebs on the ceiling.

Everything looks a bit dirty anyway.

And there is a little barrel too. We have to take care of him. Perhaps Harvey can help him to renovate this room and so they can be friends? It should be easier to go out when they aren't alone.

Well here would be enough space for a double bed too.

This is Charly's garden, which is also worn down. I think we have to contact him to take cake of it.

Overview.

Coming out of Charly's trailer we're going towards the park.

Walking down the path...

to the other entry of the skating ring.

Walking back to the wishing well...

and turning to the left. There is a fire pit.

In the back you can see the sea and beautiful flowers frame the view.

To the left you can already see the outdoor cinema.

Many chairs and pillows show it isn't only used by our inhabitants, also their friends join us often.

The big screen is gorgeous for the old eyes.

A view backwards.

Left to the chess table there are the bubble machines.

It seems some of the chairs went to the cinema.

At the end of the park next to Charly's trailer is another chess table.

Back on the street with another view of the bowling alley.

Further down the main building is sited.

And in front of it there is a little fishing pond. A bench within flowers calls you for a rest.

This is the terrace on the back of the main building.

It offers a beautiful view over the pond towards the bowling alley and washhouse.

Some of our retirees loves to fish.

This is the view of the main building from the other side of the skating ring.

There is a swing for young and old people. A small path leads to the outdoor café.

You also get there over the terrace of the building.

The café is part of the bakery shop and here on the outside there is a bar and grill too.

I hope you enjoyed this long tour through our mobile home park. And who knows maybe you're a member soon.
